Consultation services available at the House of Compassion include:
Secondary Consultation
The House of Compassion provides consultation regarding clinical and therapeutic support for practitioners working with survivors of sexual assault and/or family violence.
The House of Compassion offers a safe space to explore complexity in a case, gain fresh insights, and develop effective strategies. We combine evidence-based compassion-focused approaches with collaboration (collaborative dialogue) to enhance safe your practice.
This service is available as a once off session or over multiple sessions. The session/s would be based on a collaborative SMART goal. More dynamic secondary consultation is available within our Supervision service.
This service may be available in critical incidents to practitioners (particularly leadership) to support immediate safe responses. Ongoing relationship with services/business can be contracted to provide this service. This is particularly advantageous for services/business without in-house family violence and/or sexual assault expertise.
Policy and Procedures
Developing trauma-informed, MARAM aligned, sensitive and safe policies and procedures is an important aspect of support for survivors of family violence and sexual assault.
The House of Compassion can support you in defining your goals as a service/business in response to Family violence and/or sexual assault.
Develop quick reference guides and procedural documentation to outline actions for staff on responding to family violence and/or sexual assault, including when it occurs:
- for clients and/or staff
- in person or via telephone/virtual services
- requires documenting/case noting
Guidelines
- The House of Compassion has significant experience in creating guidelines that meet the learning and practice needs of organisations. Ensure your staff practice safe and compassionate family violence and/or sexual assault responses with clear, robust and articulate documentation aligned with MARAM and trauma-informed practice. Guideline packages can include the following services: - Review current guidelines with the provision of feedback
- - Creation of new guideline documentation
- - Creating training packages for services/business to self deliver on the organisational change
- - A clinically focused change management plan
- - Change management coach for leadership to enhance the change success and practice alignment - External leader for change management within your service/business
